Bangalore, Karnataka – The Karnataka State Energy Department announced on Tuesday that online and offline electricity bill payment services will be unavailable for ten days across all five Electricity Supply Corporations Limited (Escoms) in the state. This disruption is due to a software upgrade scheduled from March 10th to March 19th, 2024.

The upgrade will impact services related to new connections, name changes, and tariff modifications in addition to bill payments. This applies to all urban areas across the state covered under the restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (RAPDRP). The affected areas fall under the jurisdiction of the five Escoms – Bengaluru, Hubballi-Dharwad, Mangaluru, Mysuru, and Kalaburgi.

Officials have assured consumers that there will be no power cuts or disconnections due to non-payment of bills during this period.
